Deer & Wild hog
Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to field dress my deer/hog?

Nope! Bring them to us guts and all! Deer and hogs do NOT have to be field dressed and we prefer them not to be.

**a cleaning charge will be added when animals are field dressed and there is dirt, hair, feces or debris.

Will you call me when my meat is ready?!

No, all hunting season orders are ready 7 days after you drop it off! Orders MUST BE PICKED UP within 14 days of drop-off.

FOR PICK-UP:

1. L&W ticket #

2. A COOLER

3. Cash or check. Customers that use debit/credit will have a % convenience fee.

**Beginning September 2021, all orders left more than 30 days will be available subject to space available. If we run out of room and your deer has been here 30+ days, we will NOT store it.

What do I need for drop-off?

Each wild game animal will get a ticket number at our shop. This insures you take home the deer you bring. You will need to bring any state confirmation numbers, tags, or preserve names that you have when dropping off.

Do I have to leave my cooler?

YES!! if you plan to bring loose meat it MUST be in a cooler. Your ticket number will be written on your cooler so, bring one you don't mind leaving in a slaughter shop!

**Meat must be covered in ice.

**Meat dropped off that is covered in dirt, feces. vinegar...will be charged a cleaning fee.

**Meat needs to be safely defrosted before drop-off. FROZEN SOLID meat will not be accepted in the month of NOVEMBER!

Do we need ice for pick-up?

No, it really just makes a mess. Your meat will be frozen and vacuum sealed. Our freezers run about -4 degrees and your meat will be COLD! Adding ice that has been rapidly melting in your cooler will cause your meat packages to stick together.
